I’ve been a psychotherapist for the past 20 + years, and created Chosen Family, LLC to empower individuals to create platonic friendships and or surrogate family. In my private practice, many of my clients reported feeling especially lonely during times of transition such as after a divorce; loss of a spouse; moving across the country without any emotional support; or needing a break from toxic friends or family. Our U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy released an 85 page advisory declaring loneliness a new public health epidemic in the United States.
A portion of Chosen Family proceeds will go towards improving Mental Health Awareness and Research, and honor my father Charles LeClair, Sr., and my uncle Gabriel LeClair who lost their life due to suicide.
